STRATEGIC COMMUNICATIONS
THE STRATEGIC COMMUNICATIONS DEPART SERVES AS THE UNIVERSITY'S MAIN MARKETING AND CAMPAIGN HUB FOR ALL PARTNERSHIPS, MAJOR EVENTS, AND ANNUAL TRADITIONS
CREATIVE MULTI-MEDIA INTERN
Hired in March of 2024, working for Strategic Communications has easily developed my skills as a graphic designer the most. I work at the crossroads of music, design, and marketing, helping bring artists and campus events to life at the University of the Pacific. I’ve supported major campaigns and events like Orientation, Homecoming, and a 49ERS partnership, creating digital and print assets that feel on-brand and connect with students. I also support A&R and production for the Pacific Tiny Office series, working closely with artists and production teams through recording, mixing, and mastering—and helping the series reach over 50K views and counting. Along the way, I create content and graphics for the Pacific Flagship account, designing visuals for social, web, and print with the audience always in mind.
In the summer of 2025, I heard our social media manager was looking for help scouting talent and audio help for a new series, and I knew exactly what to do. Inspired by NPR’s Tiny Desk, I connected gaps and brought on talent for the "Pacific Tiny Office" series.
I brought in my recording engineering class to handle the audio—it was the perfect way for us to get hands-on experience while making sure the sessions sounded incredible. On the talent side, I curated a list of 10 of the most unique artists at Pacific to feature. So far, I’ve acted as a talent manager for three sessions, resulting in a combined 50k views and counting. I love being in a position where I can advocate for these artists and give Pacific’s music scene the spotlight it deserves

Since November 2025, the University of the Pacific has been the official higher education partner of the San Francisco 49ers. I was stoked to be brought onto the project to help launch the announcement event and handle the behind-the-scenes logistics.
My role involved developing a custom Tagboard for the event, assisting with staff coordination, and brainstorming promotional ideas to get the word out. I had to get up to speed on the 49ers' brand kit fast, ensuring a seamless blend between our university’s identity and an iconic NFL brand. It’s been an incredible experience merging sports marketing with campus life, and I am excited to see how this partnership unfolds!

Internship Tagboard
During my time with Strategic Communications, I’ve led campus-wide campaigns using our Tagboard digital network. From Orientation Week to Homecoming, I’ve managed the rollout for our biggest events by mastering the Adobe Creative Suite. I use InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop to build every asset, ensuring our marketing is both eye-catching and on-brand.
Beyond the design work, I’ve sharpened my project management skills using Asana. I use it daily for team communication and the proofing process, making sure every project moves smoothly from a brainstorm to the big screens.

The annual Pacific Magazine is the university’s premier print publication, and for the 2025 issue, focusing on various students’ journeys, I had the chance to go behind the scenes of the production. I assisted with developing style vision boards for the cover, managed the inventory for various props used throughout the shoot, and helped with talent casting. On the day of the cover shoot, I worked to keep logistics moving smoothly to ensure the creative vision stayed on track. It was an incredible experience earning my first official magazine credit and even being featured on the back page!
